Vasectomy Reversal
Vasectomy can be reversed with a microsurgical technique called Vasovasostomy.
Each tube (vas deferens) that carries sperm from the testicle to the sperm is reconnected. Pregnancy rates after vasectomy reversal range from 30% to 90%. Reversal is performed with microsurgery.
- The surgeon uses a surgical microscope that magnifies the vas deferens up to 40 TIMES.
- Requires specialised training and experience by an Urologist.
Factors affecting the success of a reversal:
- Time since vasectomy
- Your partner's age
- The experience and training of surgeons
- Whether or not you had fertility (childbearing) problems before the vasectomy.
